Only by stalling seconds could I stagnate the visions
Such nightmares of pain and anguish
That brought me back to your body...lifeless
She whispered...I am here son
There were only those words to hear
Right until the end
Even words from a Mother
Sometimes do not protect
Sometimes do not destroy regret
Death...I cradled you every night
In flashbacks splintered
Silent were the questions I asked the darkness
Oppressed by agendas unknown to myself
Razor sharp was my decision
Dad...I shall walk with you now
Eternally wise to the horror of war
Rendered old before my time

Even though war is something I am absolutely so against, I still hold empathy for those who think they are fighting for good. If only they saw they were part of a game they could save their own lives and so many civilians.
This is in memory of a soldier who killed himself after coming home from war.
Peace to all and may it reign supreme one day!
